You have pierced our hearts with the arrow of Your love.

Each one of you has to be God's microphone

Where is your baptism? You are baptized in your professions, in the field of workers, in the market. Wherever there is someone who has been baptized, that is where the Church is. There is a prophet there. This is where you have to say something in the name of the Truth that shines through the lies of the world. Let us not be cowards. Let us not hide the talent that God gave us on the day of our baptism, and let us truly live the beauty and responsibility of being a prophetic people.

Oscar Romero, July 8, 1979 Translated by Irene B. Hodgson
